Serendipity

Thanks to over-withholding on my taxes this year, I got a decent check back from Uncle Sam this year. To celebrate, Kellen and I had dinner at Maria Pia, a cute Italian place in the theater district. I had a yummy Carpaccio di Tonno to start: a pepper crusted tuna tartare served with olive tapenade with crostinis...delish! Then we ate our resective pastas, drank 2 glasses of Prosecco each, then headed to the Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center) for a truly breathtaking view of Manhattan at night.

A little blurry but you can see the Chrysler building and the MetLife tower
After some time viewing the grandeur of NYC, we headed east to Serendipity. The little dessert shop made famous by the movie starring John Cusack and Kate Beckingsdale. It's known for the frozen hot chocolate, so we got a "cup" and some strawberries & cream.... heavenly
