Yes, I am somewhat proud of my first flag cake attempt. Will I do things differently next time, of course...the cake was a tad dense and bland but it was pretty!!! Ina is a kitchen goddess but this recipe was only 'ok'. It was super fun to make for our housewarming/4th of July party last night. We had about 15 people over to watch the Macy's fireworks from our rooftop. Come to find out, the view was even better from the bedroom (that's what he said!)
